It was a really good thing that teen!Max had shamelessly been wearing clothes multiple sizes too big for him all week, because that way, at least, when Max woke up on the couch this morning, all of the discomfort he was experiencing came from his hangover and his spectacular embarrassment over what had happened, and not from being squeezed into tiny!him's clothes or something. That would've been the icing on the cake.

What followed after waking up was a lot of moaning and huddling under the blanket Jane had bought him on the condition that he promise to never, ever throw up on it. He was wondering if he'd have to burn this thing later, because somehow he knew that if he or anyone else on planet Earth tarnished an olive green cashmere throw from Williams-Sonoma, Jane would know.

So if anyone else was still here, hopefully they didn't mind Max's whining as he clutched the blanket around him like a cape and slowly, slooowly headed to see if there was anything in the mini-fridge that would help him feel better. Please let there be something in the mini-fridge.

Max had spent a lot of this week handwavily watching sports and R-rated movies and ordering room service, like any teenager who found himself in a hotel room all to himself would do. But this morning he'd come across a TV show about some kids who lived in a hotel and used their suite to throw parties, and suddenly Max had a great idea.

Because Max could throw a hell of a party, okay. His Bar Mitzvah eight months ago had been kick-ass. There had been party motivators and a cake in the shape of a football. And a vodka slide, but Max hadn't been allowed to touch it. Still. Parties couldn't get much better than that.

So that was why, after some haphazard flyering around town today and other spectacularly unsubtle advertising techniques, he was now hosting a party of his own. There was beer (you could buy beer in this town!) and there were snacks and Max even had a badass-looking blazer that was ginormous on him, but he didn't care. Party time!

This was so going to end in a noise complaint.

"Hey, this is Max. I'm probably extremely busy with something very important right now, but if you leave a message, there's about a thirty percent chance I'll text you back within the week."
